Gokart Transportation LLC – TNC Driver Policy
This policy outlines the requirements and expectations for all Transportation Network Company (TNC) drivers operating on the Gokart Transportation LLC platform. All drivers are required to adhere to these policies at all times while engaged in providing transportation services. Failure to comply may result in deactivation from the Gokart platform.
I. Zero Tolerance Drug and Alcohol Use Policy:
Gokart Transportation LLC maintains a zero-tolerance policy regarding the use of drugs and alcohol by TNC drivers while they are providing transportation services or are logged into the Gokart platform and available to accept ride requests.
- Prohibited Substances: This includes, but is not limited to, illegal drugs, prescription medications not taken as prescribed, and any amount of alcohol.
- Consequences of Violation: Any driver found to be under the influence of drugs or alcohol while providing transportation services will be immediately deactivated from the Gokart platform. Gokart Transportation LLC will cooperate fully with law enforcement investigations.
- Reporting Suspected Violations: Passengers and other drivers are encouraged to report any suspected drug or alcohol use by a Gokart driver to Gokart Transportation LLC via the designated reporting channels (e.g., phone, email, in-app reporting). All reports will be investigated thoroughly.
II. No Street Hails Policy:
Gokart Transportation LLC operates exclusively through its digital platform. Drivers are strictly prohibited from soliciting or accepting street hails. All rides must be requested and accepted through the Gokart app.
- Purpose: This policy ensures passenger safety, accurate record-keeping, and compliance with local regulations.
- Consequences of Violation: Drivers found to be accepting street hails will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including deactivation from the Gokart platform.
III. Insurance Requirements:
All Gokart TNC drivers must maintain valid and adequate insurance coverage as required by local and state regulations. This includes, but may not be limited to:
- Personal Auto Insurance: Drivers must maintain personal auto insurance that meets the minimum requirements of their jurisdiction.
- TNC Insurance: Drivers must also possess specific TNC insurance coverage, as required by law, that covers the period when they are logged into the Gokart app and available to accept ride requests or are transporting passengers.
- Proof of Insurance: Drivers must provide proof of insurance to Gokart Transportation LLC upon request and must keep their insurance information updated in their driver profile.
- Consequences of Violation: Driving without the required insurance will result in immediate deactivation from the Gokart platform.
IV. No Cash Trips Policy:
All transactions for Gokart rides must be processed through the Gokart app using the designated payment methods. Drivers are strictly prohibited from accepting cash payments from passengers.
- Purpose: This policy ensures transparency, security, and accurate record-keeping of all transactions.
- Consequences of Violation: Drivers found to be accepting cash payments will be subject to disciplinary action, up to and including deactivation from the Gokart platform.
V. No Discrimination Accessibility Policy:
Gokart Transportation LLC is committed to providing transportation services to all individuals, regardless of race, color, religion, sex, national origin, age, disability, or any other protected characteristic.1
- Prohibited Discrimination: Drivers are prohibited from refusing service to any individual based on a protected characteristic. This includes refusing to transport individuals with disabilities or service animals.
- Accessibility Requirements: Drivers must comply with all applicable laws and regulations regarding accessibility for individuals with disabilities. This includes providing reasonable accommodations and ensuring that their vehicles are accessible, if required.
- Service Animals: Drivers are required to transport service animals accompanying passengers with disabilities.
- Consequences of Violation: Any driver found to be discriminating against passengers will be subject to immediate deactivation from the Gokart platform.
VI. Driver Responsibilities:
- Compliance with Laws: Drivers must comply with all applicable traffic laws, regulations, and ordinances.
- Professional Conduct: Drivers must maintain a professional and courteous demeanor towards passengers and other drivers at all times.
- Vehicle Maintenance: Drivers are responsible for maintaining their vehicles in safe and good working condition.
- Accurate Information: Drivers must provide accurate and up-to-date information in their driver profile.
VII. Policy Updates:
Gokart Transportation LLC reserves the right to update this policy at any time. Drivers will be notified of any changes. Continued use of the Gokart platform constitutes acceptance of the updated policy.
